ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ Salmān Ibn-Āmir ad-Dabbiy said that the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, "When one of you breaks his fast, he should do so with dates." Sufyān Ibn-Uyaynah (one of the narrators) added to this (the words of the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him): "... for indeed, they (dried dates) are a blessing. And whoever does not have dried dates should break his fast with water for, indeed, it is pure." ”

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْجَوْهَرِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ كَامِلٍ أَبِى الْعَلاَءِ عَنْ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عُمُرُ أُمَّتِى مِنْ سِتِّينَ سَنَةً إِلَى سَبْعِينَ سَنَةً. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِى صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ وَقَدْ رُوِىَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ.
